Oude Kerk

Oude Kerk is the oldest building in Amsterdam. Its origins go back to the 13th century, though the present structure dates from the 16 century. By 1560 Oude Kerk grew into the impressive building that we can see today.

Oude Kerk is a center of cultural activity with an extensive calendar of events. Concerts, various exhibitions take place in the church. Besides one can visit Oude Kerk independently or with a guide. Oudekerkstoren, the tower of the church, can be also climbed (only with a guide). Oudekerkstoren dating back to 1325 is one of the main symbols of Oude Kerk.
